Limpopo Born Banyana Banyana Players Received A R100 000 Reward

Limpopo Department Sport, Arts and Culture, MEC Thandi Moraka had announced R100 000 reward for Limpopo Born Banyana Banyana Players.

This was officially announced during a welcome home breakfast session held at Meropa Casino in Polokwane on Thursday, followed by a Motorcade in and around the streets of Polokwane.

Hilda Magaia, Noko Matlou, and Nomvula Kgoale who were present, were adorned with Provincial Blazers by the MEC, Lebogang Ramalepe and Amogelang Motau’s families received on their behalf in their absence.

The Limpopo 5 formed part of the National Team Banyana Banyana which won the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

“You have made history in the continent of Africa and made history for South Africa, what a gift to give the country, and thank you for putting our Province on the map, with the little that we have, accept it, we say thank you”, said MEC Moraka.
