Did ANC lie to Ndindani and Mahlathi residents?
By Angie Nkuna
Recently, the African National Congress (ANC) leadership has since seen their visibility in Giyani and in areas within its vicinity especially in melancholy and forlorn communities increase.
Although it has been to some extent perceived as a way to show that the ANC is ready to deliver to its promises.
On the 2nd of February this year, Deputy President David Mabuza visited Ndindani and Mahlathi villages, where he made a commitment that government will start with the construction of over 20km tar road from Thomo to Hlomela village within 14 days.
Locals are saying there has’nt been any movement since the promise was made.
Speaking to the SABC on Wednesday, residents of Gawula, Khakhala, Ndindani, Hlomela and Mahlathi made a pronouncement that they’re not going to vote on the 8th of May if the ANC doesn’t deliver the tar road it has promised.
ANC spokesperson, Pule Mabe wasn’t immediately reached for comment.
