South African artists are taking the world by storm in both national and international awards. Since the beginning of the year 2019, South African artist Sho Madjozi bagged the best… song accolade at the BET (Black Entertainment Television).
The all Africa music awards have nominated South African award-winning musician Candy Tsamandebele in the best artist, duo or group in the African traditional category.
The awards are due to take place in November 2019 in Nigeria. She is nominated alongside powerful African acts. The news came after Candy also bagged a nomination at the Limpopo music awards.
She is nominated in the best music video for Nathinga, song of the year for Nathinga, Best Female Artist and best styled artist. The album responsible for these nominations titled ‘Hupenyu unenge viri’ won a SAMA this year in the Best traditional album.
“This is great news indeed! This year is proving to be fruitful. I am so happy.” Candy Tsamandebele said.
Candy currently plays a role portraying a very loud character of Mhani Dayina who’s a shebeen queen on SABC 2’s Giyani- land of blood, airing Monday to Wednesday at 21h30.
